Continuous surfaces. Considered finishes.
A continuous, joint-free finish for floors, walls and architectural surfaces. Microcement can be used across a wide range of interior applications, from kitchens and living spaces to bathrooms and staircases.
What is microcement?
Microcement is a thin, polymer-modified cementitious coating applied in multiple layers over existing surfaces. It creates a continuous, joint-free finish that is durable, water-resistant, and highly aesthetic, suitable for floors, walls, ceilings, wet rooms, bathrooms, and kitchens.
Unlike tiles, microcement eliminates grout lines and creates seamless visual flow across entire rooms. Unlike polished concrete, it can be applied over existing substrates without the need for full floor replacement making it ideal for renovation and refurbishment projects.

Where can microcement be applied?
Floors - Seamless, joint-free flooring across open-plan living spaces, hallways, and kitchens. Compatible with underfloor heating systems.
Walls - Continuous, grout-free wall surfaces that create visual flow and eliminate tile joints. Ideal for feature walls and full-room treatments.Good projects come from good communication.
Bathrooms & wet rooms - Fully waterproof microcement with sealed reinforcement designed for constant water exposure. Walk-in showers, wet rooms, and bath surrounds.
Kitchens - Worktops, splashbacks, island wraps, and floor-to-wall transitions. Resistant to heat, staining, and daily wear.
Staircases - Seamless treads, risers, and landings. Clean lines with no joints or visible fixings.
Preparation defines preformance
Most surface failures begin beneath the finish. Our structured installation process controls every stage from substrate inspection through to final sealing to deliver seamless finishes built for longevity.
1. Substrate Inspection
Detailed evaluation of existing surfaces condition, moisture levels, alignment, and structural stability assessed before any work begins.
2. Surface Protection
Complete protection of surrounding areas and adjacent finishes. Nothing is left exposed to risk during installation.
3. Reinforcement
Joint sealing and fibre mesh reinforcement applied to the substrate the structural foundation that prevents cracking and ensures longevity.
4. Controlled Application
Layered application with precision alignment and clean detailing throughout. Each coat is applied and assessed before the next begins.
5. Final Inspection
Final sealing and a thorough quality inspection. Every edge, joint, and surface detail reviewed against our installation standard before completion.

A 2-year written warranty.
Every microcement installation by Multi Surface Studio follows our structured installation process including fibre mesh reinforcement and controlled layered application backed by a 2-year written warranty.
Before we begin.
A starting point for your project. We assess the space and confirm the specification before installation.
What is microcement?
Microcement is a thin, seamless cementitious coating applied in multiple layers over existing surfaces. It creates a continuous, joint-free finish that is durable, water-resistant, and highly aesthetic.
How much does microcement cost in London?
Microcement installation depends on area size, substrate condition, and finish specification. We offer a free site assessment to evaluate your project scope and provide an accurate quote.
Does microcement crack?
Microcement can crack if not correctly installed. At Multi Surface Studio cracking is prevented through joint sealing, fibre mesh reinforcement, and controlled layered application — which is why we can offer a 2-year written warranty.
Can microcement go over existing tiles?
In many cases, yes. Microcement can be applied over existing tiles, provided the substrate is stable and properly prepared. Our technical assessment will determine suitability.
Is microcement waterproof?
When correctly sealed, microcement is highly water-resistant and suitable for wet rooms, showers, and bathrooms. Our sealing system is rated for constant water exposure.
How long does microcement installation take?
A typical installation takes 3–7 working days depending on area size and complexity. Each layer must fully cure before the next is applied.
